What to Expect Outside Your Curaçao´s Resorts
The week before Easter will be normal, except for Good Friday. Since it´s an official holyday most stores are not permitted to open, unless they have a license. Gas stations and stores at the airport don´t fall under this ban.
Don´t worry, that most restaurant and Curaçao´s Resorts will be open during this time.
Many use the Easter holydays as an opportunity for a vacation. So, you will find most Curaçao´s Resorts a little too crowdy.
The same goes for the beaches. Almost every beach will be full and you can even find people camping in them. If you dislike crowed spaces, we recommend to stay out of Porto Marie, Knip, Playa Abou, Lagun, and Santa Cruz.
Supermarkets will also be full of people buying for the weekend.
Some Chinese supermarkets will be open during Easters. You can find a couple of them within a 5 minutes’ drive from the airport. Don´t forget to buy your basic stuff before the weekend or after you have arrived at your Curaçao´s Resort.
You also have to take into account the traffic during Easter Monday. This because of the Seu Harvest Festival.
Normally you could get out of the beach without any hassle.
If the Parade ends close to your Curaçao´s Resort, just ask the personnel for additional precautions. This Festival ends close to the afternoon.
