There is no restriction to foreigners for buying land in Curaçao

There is no need to become a resident to buy your new home at Curaçao. However, if you want to stay for good on the island, a permit is required by the government.

To apply for the residence permit, you´ll need the following:
 Proof of income.
  Valid passport.
 Certificate of good conduct.

 Birth certificate.
 Medical certificate.
 Proof of health insurance.

And proof of ownership of a home on Curacao.

If you plan on working at Curaçao, a working permit is required too.

Duration of Your Stay Permitted by Curaçao

As a tourist, you are permitted to stay at Curaçao for a maximum of 14 days. If you want to stay longer, an extension is required by the immigration office.

If you are an American citizen, the amount of time grows up to 3 months!
And citizens of the Netherlands can stay up to 6 months.

There are only 2 ways in which you can own a property in Curaçao

 Property of Land.

 In this manner of ownership property taxes are assessed on a yearly basis. You have the right to freely use or dispose of the property as you see fit.
 You can also divide the ownership. Between two or more private individuals or legal entities.
 The process takes around 8-10 weeks. The best part is that you don´t need to be present. An attorney can sign all the documents in your place.

 Land Lease by the Government.

 In this deal you lease a piece of land from the Curaçao government. The price is usually low and the contract renews every 60 years.
 If the government is unable to renew for any reason. All the money invested in the house is returned to you.
 The government is responsible for any laws pertaining to land owners.
